Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using Socialqueue (the “Service”), operated by Jun (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of the Service

Socialqueue is a web application that helps sports hosts (e.g. pickleball organisers) manage social-play sessions with fair partner-rotation scheduling. Hosts sign in with a Google account to create sessions and manage a queue of players. Players do not require an account — they are entered into the queue by the host.

The Service provides:

  • Session creation and court management
  • Automatic partner-rotation queue algorithm
  • A shareable public board for displaying live court assignments and the queue
  • Per-session game statistics
  • A saved roster of recurring players with optional profile photos

2. Eligibility and Account Requirements

To use host features you must:

  • Have a valid Google account and authenticate via Google OAuth
  • Be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction)
  • Comply with these Terms and all applicable laws

Access may additionally be restricted by the site operator via an email allow-list or sign-up disable flag. If your account does not meet these requirements, sign-in will be denied.

3. Host Responsibilities

As a host using the Service, you are responsible for:

  • Obtaining consent from players before entering their names and any photos into the Service, and before sharing the public board URL with them.
  • Accuracy — ensuring the player names and information you enter are accurate and not misleading.
  • Appropriate use — using the Service only for lawful social-play event management and not for any other purpose.
  • Account security — keeping your Google account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • Photo rights — only uploading player photos for which you have the right to do so (e.g. with the player's consent).

4. Player Data and the Public Board

Player names (and optionally photos) entered by hosts are stored in connection with the host's account. Player names and game assignments are visible on the public board to anyone with the board link.

Players do not create accounts and do not interact with the Service directly. Hosts bear sole responsibility for obtaining any necessary consent from players before entering their information.

Session statistics remain accessible via the board URL indefinitely after a session ends, as documented in our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
  • Upload content that is defamatory, obscene, harassing, or infringes third-party rights
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' sessions or accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute any part of the Service
  • Use the Service to process sensitive personal data (health, financial, government ID, etc.)

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms without prior notice.

6. Co-hosts

Hosts may grant co-host access to a session by adding another user's email address. Co-hosts receive full management rights over the session (queue, courts, games) immediately upon being added, without an acceptance step. Co-hosts cannot delete the session or manage other co-hosts.

The session owner is responsible for ensuring that any co-hosts they add comply with these Terms.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Jun and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Content you upload (e.g. player photos) remains yours. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and display that content solely to provide the Service.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. The rotation algorithm is designed to optimise unique partnerships but cannot guarantee a specific pairing outcome.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Jun shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (or $10 USD if you have not paid us anything).

10. Changes to the Service and These Terms

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

Continued use of the Service after changes to the Terms constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you should stop using the Service.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
